Thoroughly Decent Recipes

About 3 years ago I decided to change my lifestyle entirely. I won’t go into all my rules for eating and my standards for “good food”–I stopped eating junk and I started exercising. Since then I’ve found it really tough to find decent recipes that actually taste good. I hope you enjoy!

Witches Brew (from my Halloween Dinner)

Can-a, Can-a Vegetable Soup
All Day Coconut Cake with 7-Minute Frosting

I started out making my own crust, but I found that Publix does a much better job. It’s made with good flour, though it’s not whole wheat. I used to make my own whole wheat and it was never very good. Not at all bubbly or chewy.

I can post a good dough recipe if you like, but for about $2.75 it’s tough to beat the fresh dough in the bakery at Publix. You buy it right where you order cakes.

mandi–i know you make your own pizza. do you make your own crust? last week i tried to make my own 1/2 white, 1/2 wheat crust and it didn’t turn out great. it was dry and hard haha this week we bought premade wheat crusts and it’s kind of yucky. i found a lot of good recipes on recipe zaar.com. do you have any tips? i love bubbles in my crust, and i love it chewy and flavorful. yum!
